It is important that the steps below are followed and that update compatibility is secured prior to making any update.
AN UPGRADE CAN NOT BE REVERTED!

Before you upgrade

Make sure you have 

• Your LingoPen
• A micro-USB cable
• A computer (MAC, Windows or Linux)

Check

• Current LingoPen software version and internal memory

Go to Settings/System Information/Version and check Software version.

Go to Settings/System Information/Internal Storage and check Internal memory (4GB or 8GB).

Upgrade options

Each upgrade may take 5-20 minutes to complete.

If upgrade fails - read the firmware upgrade troubleshooting guide.

LingoPen (and DictionaryPen) upgrades are incremental and it is required to walk through them all starting from the version currently installed.

Upgrade to 7.2.09

Current version MUST be 7.2.04

Download 7.2.09 upgrade file

1. Unzip the downloaded file.
2. Power up LingoPen and connect it by USB to your computer.
3. Use nav-buttons and select U-Disk. Press OK button to confirm.
4. Locate your unzipped upgrade file on your computer and copy updatesys_7.2.09.BIN to your LingoPen.
5. Eject LingoPen disk from your computer and detach the USB cable.
6. On LingoPen, navigate to Settings/Software upgrade. 
7. Press OK button to select and use nav button to select YES and press OK button again.

Upgrade to 7.2.04

Current version MUST be 7.2.01

Download: 7.2.04 upgrade file

1. Unzip the downloaded file.
2. Power up LingoPen and connect it by USB to your computer.
3. Use nav-buttons and select U-Disk. Press OK button to confirm.
4. Locate your unzipped upgrade file on your computer and copy updatesys_7.2.04.BIN to your LingoPen.
5. Eject LingoPen disk from your computer and detach the USB cable.
6. On LingoPen, navigate to Settings/Software upgrade. 
7. Press OK button to select and use nav button to select YES and press OK button again.

Upgrade to 7.2.01

Current version MUST be 7.0.01 OR DictionaryPen 7.6.34

Download: 7.2.01 upgrade file

1. Unzip the downloaded file.
2. Power up LingoPen and connect it by USB to your computer.
3. Use nav-buttons and select U-Disk. Press OK button to confirm.
4. Locate your unzipped upgrade file on your computer and copy sysdict.BIN and updatesys_7.2.01.BIN to your LingoPen.
5. Eject LingoPen disk from your computer and detach the USB cable.
6. On LingoPen, navigate to Settings/Software upgrade. 
7. Press OK button to select and use nav button to select YES and press OK button again.

Upgrade to 7.6.34

Current version MUST be 7.6.33

NOTE: 
Upgrading DictionaryPen REMOVES monolingual dictionaries.

Download: 7.6.34 upgrade file

1. Unzip the downloaded file.
2. Power up LingoPen and connect it by USB to your computer.
3. Use nav-buttons and select U-Disk. Press OK button to confirm.
4. Locate your unzipped upgrade file on your computer and copy sysdict.BIN and updatesys_7.6.34.BIN to your LingoPen/DictionaryPen.
5. Eject LingoPen disk from your computer and detach the USB cable.
6. On LingoPen, navigate to Settings/Software upgrade. 
7. Press OK button to select and use nav button to select YES and press OK button again.

Upgrade to 7.6.33

Current version MUST be 7.6.21

Download: 7.6.33 upgrade file

1. Unzip the downloaded file.
2. Power up LingoPen and connect it by USB to your computer.
3. Use nav-buttons and select U-Disk. Press OK button to confirm.
4. Locate your unzipped upgrade file on your computer and copy sysdict.BIN and updatesys_7.6.33.BIN to your LingoPen/DictionaryPen.
5. Eject LingoPen disk from your computer and detach the USB cable.
6. On LingoPen, navigate to Settings/Software upgrade. 
7. Press OK button to select and use nav button to select YES and press OK button again.
