How does C-Pen work?

Modified on Tue, 15 Mar, 2022 at 3:09 PM

When you move the C-Pen device along a text line the printed text is made digital. The digital text can then be read out aloud by text to speech software (like in the video below) or it can be pasted into a document on a computer or smartphone. All of which happens automatically. A C-Pen device processes one text line at the the time. Each new line can be added after the previous, building up sentences and paragraphs just as they are printed. Our models can be used by both left and right handed people and they all can scan text from left-to-right as well as from right-to-left. Some models are stand-alone and works completely independent of any other software while other models require specific companion software to be installed on the computer or smartphone. For mode details, check out videos on our Youtube channel or product details in our Product section.
